FC Bayern München have agreed a new 12-month contract with their 31-year-old Dutch captain Mark van Bommel while defender Martín Demichelis has extended his deal by two seasons until 2012.Van Bommel's contract is set to be signed in the coming days: "Finally we have come to an agreement. I will stay and I'm looking forward to another season with Bayern", he said.
Argentinian defender Demichelis has also confirmed a new contract with Bayern. His existing deal was due to expire in the summer of 2010, but the 28-year-old has signed a new agreement which runs until 2012. "I'm happy I could sign here again and I want to achieve a lot with FC Bayern in the coming years", he claimed.
