Juventus central defender Giorgio Chiellini sustained a broken nose during Saturday’s 4-1 home win over Bologna at the Stadio Olimpico and will be operated. “Giorgio Chiellini suffered a nasal fracture in the match with Bologna,” a statement on the Old Lady’s official website reads. “The player will undergo surgery on Monday to reduce the fracture. The operation will take place at the Chivasso Hospital and will be performed by Professor Libero Tubino.
“It is likely that the player will resume training 48 hours after the surgery by wearing a guard.”
